Patriots White Suffer First Loss in Five Games

Patriots White continued their strong run of play but left Palisades with a tough, 1-0 loss to DCST Metros Red. This ends their unbeaten run at four, including a string of two victories.

The hallmarks of Patriots White’s solid results of late were all there, as all six outfield players provided solid defending in support of their keeper and shared the ball in attack to spread the opposition and create chances to score.

Penalties Tame Patriots Red

Soccer can be unforgiving, and it can be unfair. Sunday afternoon across the river at Palisades in Washington, DC, the Patriots experienced a little of both in a showdown with the DCST Metros. After losing their star defender in the first minutes of play and then having several penalties called within the box, the Patriots were not allowed to match their opponent’s aggressiveness, which would cost them the game. White Team Extends Unbeaten Streak

LMVSC U-10 Patriots White sprinted to a 3-0 halftime lead and restrained a resurgent Herndon Fire side in the second 30 minutes to secure a 4-2 win on the road Sunday morning May 6.

It’s the second straight win for the Patriots, and their unbeaten streak is now at four games. Rebecca busted the net twice in the opening thirty, sandwiching her tallies around another fine strike by Isabella.

White Team Wins Against Freedom White

The White team extended their unbeaten streak to three games Sunday afternoon with a thrilling, 4-3 win over MCLN Freedom White.

Isabella, who continues to develop as a playmaker, netted two first-half goals for the winners. She also set up Isabelle, with whom she’s developing a deadly partnership, for goal No. 3. Tess punched home the crucial fourth goal, pressing forward and working hard to create her own opportunity in close late in the second half.
